Our Sites

The Technologiepark Bergisch Gladbach has been our home ever since we started, but over the years RI has kept growing. Now we have three sites:

Bergisch Gladbach, Dortmund, and Obereschbach.

Technologiepark Bergisch Gladbach

Headquarters

Technologiepark Bergisch Gladbach (TBG) is the heart and origin of RI. Here, just 20 km from Cologne, around 250 people work across approximately 8,000 m². We use various buildings at TBG site for engineering, manufacturing, assembly, and administration. The focus is on the design and development of components for particle accelerators, fusion, and the semiconductor industry. In manufacturing, we operate large soldering furnaces and several cleanrooms. We have multiple halls available for the assembly of complex systems.

Since this site is where it all began, it is also home to the management team and a large portion of our business and administrative staff. The close proximity of different professional groups enables effective and straightforward collaboration among people with highly complementary skills—skills we rely on to carry out our demanding projects.

Since 2019

Dortmund

Home to our pulsed power business

After taking over the business of the former Ampegon PPT in 2018 and the associated expansion into pulsed power technology, moving to a larger and more modern site at Technologie Zentrum Dortmund (TZDO) was the next logical step. Here, we develop and manufacture pulsed power systems (e.g. Kicker magnet pulse generators and Klystron modulators). In addition, we design customized control systems and provide enclosure system integration to industrial standards.

The combination of vacuum accelerator components from Bergisch Gladbach with electric systems from Dortmund enables us to operate as a unique system provider.

The new site

Obereschbach

"Die Manufaktur"

Since 2022, RI has had an additional site in Obereschbach, located just about 500 meters from company's core location in the Technologiepark. Around 200 people work here across 6,000 m². The main focus of activities includes machining, cleaning, welding processes, and dimensional inspection. A separate building houses the small-series production for the semiconductor industry.

In the new buildings constructed between 2020 and 2024, we have implemented state-of-the-art standards in cleanliness, climate control, lighting, energy efficiency, and occupational safety. They are also optimized for our specific process workflows.
Two additional plots of land are available to support the future growth of our company.
