Series Production

Moving from the design over a prototype into a reliable and efficient series product is a skill of its own.

In many industries and applications, proving functionality by a prototype is only the beginning. After successfully building a first of its kind, setting up a series production brings challenges of its own, especially since series production in high-tech often means only a few copies, components or parts per month or year.

At RI, we have already established series production in all business fields: From superconducting cavities, and fusion equipment for ITER to equipment or EUV metrology tools for the semiconductor industry. When setting up a new series production, we build on these experiences and combine them with the specifics of the product to set up a tailored series production. By doing so, we establish lean and flexible series production that can quickly adapt to changes in demand.

Superconducting Cavities

RI has supplied hundreds of superconducting cavities to X-ray free electron lasers European XFEL and LCLS II at SLAC.

Example

Semiconductor Equipment

We work on semiconductor manufacturing optics that enable increasingly powerful, energy-efficient, and affordable microchips.

EUV Metrology Tools

Man in cleanroom clothing looks into the open door of a metal apparatus the size of a cabinet.
Two switches on a neutral surface: you can see two small blue boxes with large ribbed metal heat sinks mounted on them and colorful cables protruding from them.

Chargers and HV Switches

We build chargers and HV switches for shock wave generators used in medical treatments.
